“..near me, touch me, feel me”

That’s an invitation ladies!

Seriously, not many songs start with this much intensity.

Listen to the synth lift up at :25

The drums are shit hot.

Saw her on SNL and “cough” Ellen and this song kills..

Track of the year, give her a grammy for this one.

Another one of my Dad’s faves, this has an epic lead in. The build up is massive. It gets more echoey and you hear more guitar stabs the further you go. A lot of NFL players love this track and play it before a big game. It’s all suspense and emotion until the drums (BPOTS)  kick in.

Picture Ray Lewis stretching at the 50 listening to this.

0069 Lil Wayne – I Feel Like Dying @ 2:42

Friday, March 5th, 2010

“I have just boarded a plane without a pilot..”

Wayne is off to jail this week so I took a look through some of his old material. This one never got released, and it’s a heady track. The sample as is is pretty twisted, so he must have started there, but he takes it to a hazy drugged out dreamland.

Violets are blue
roses are red
daisies are yellow
the flowers are dead

He’s right in the pocket flow wise too… this is the type of track you don’t hear too often. Take a listen.

“….has each hour been fully tasted?”

Originally this caught me because of the amazing sample. You hear it a lot on the album. It sounds Native, but who knows what Madlib chopped or looped. This part of the song though, also rolls into the extro which I love, and is another rare find record Madlib plays through. It’s a 2fer, enjoy!
