“I’m not waiting on a lady…”
Jeff Woods posted about Exile on Main Street a while back, and I started listening to some old Stones stuff. This track is perfect for TBPOS. I watched the video, and it’s hilarious. Mick is hanging out with some brothers in what is surely the LES of New York, chillin’, you know, not waiting on a lady. Then Keif shows up, and they both roll down the street to the local to meet up with Ronnie and Charlie. Then they pick up their instruments and start jamming, with Keith and Ronnie jiving all over the place. F’in great video…but not why we’re here!
Catch the sax solo with a guest spot from Sonny Rollins playing the tenor. They recorded this in Kingston, Jamaica – feel that island breeze ‘mon!
